Albion Triumphant

Other Conflicts

French Indian War

Named after the enemies of the British colonies in North America – the French colonials and their native Indian allies - this conflict pits ordered ranks of line infantry against the skirmishing colonials, frontiersmen and native tribes.

American War of Independence

In 1775 American colonists rise up against British rule. The King’s redcoats, loyal settlers and regiments of ‘Hessian’ mercenaries fight a citizen army led by George Washington, supported by militia and French troops.

American Civil War

In 1860 the fledgling United States of America, under President Abraham Lincoln, fall into civil war between the northern Unionists and the Confederates of the south.

Anglo Zulu War

The tribal armies of the Zulu nation crash against the thin red line of the British Empire at Isandlwana, Ulundi and the famous Rorke's Drift

 

The Crimean War

ought between Russia and an alliance of Britain, France and the Ottoman Empire, the war is famous for the Battle of Balaclava, Florence Nightingale and the Charge of the Light Brigade.

 

The Mahdist Revolt

The Mahdists rebel against the Egyptian government in Sudan, laying siege to Governor Gordon’s remaining forces in Khartoum. A British relief force marches down the Nile but arrives too late...

 

The Jacobite Rebellion
