Description
xThe Zulu army was a formidable foe. Well-trained, well-led, and well-equipped for campaigns, the Zulu units were the terror of Africa. Created by the great Shaka, founder of the nation, each unit comprised small companies who trained together, and a unit could be 1,000 men strong. They were then brigaded to form divisions which could move with great speed and drilled precision, forming the classic Zulu attack formation of the Horns of the Buffalo.
The military system formed units of married and unmarried men, so a cadre of young men had to remain unmarried on the King's orders until they had 'washed their spears' in the blood of their enemies. They were armed with throwing spears, smoothbore muskets, and the deadly stabbing short spear, while their patterned ox-hide shields helped identify their parent unit.
Once they were blooded would they sew in the characteristic head ring which was the symbol of a mature and married warrior, showing his much-enhanced status in society.
These are the finest warriors of a fierce and proud army, eager to preserve Zululand from all invaders!

VAT value and handling fees for parcels to European destinations
We are now offering an IOSS and DDP service (Delivery Duties Paid) to all customers in the EU (European Union).
This means that no VAT value and no handling fees for VAT value charged will be demanded to customers at delivery, because we already took care of them.
Please be aware that DDP service would not cover for additional fees or charges - other than VAT - that the local custom regulations might decide to apply on the goods - these are solely the responsibility of the customer.
DDP service would not be applied on shipments with a PO Box destination or sent via Royal Mail: in these cases Duties and Handling fees will possibly be requested at the time of delivery and these are solely the responsibility of the customer.
DDP service is not available for Stockists customers who place their online orders using their special and personal discount code; these parcels would be sent only via DDU (Delivery Duty Unpaid).
