Mussolini famously boasted that the Italian army had eight million bayonets standing at the ready. In actuality, the standing Italian army was far smaller than that, with huge numbers of troops conscripted into a war they neither believed in nor understood. The fighting ability of units of the Italian army varied greatly, with much of the rank and file lacking proper equipment, transport and even motivation. Still, there were several key battles in North Africa and the Eastern Front where they performed well.

This bundle features two boxes of our brand-new plastics netting you 60 miniatures – with copious weapons options as well as the ability to represent Blackshirts – suitable to represent Italian troops in a wide variety of World War Two theatres. This bundle also includes the recent plastic kit that will build either a Carro Armato or Semovente. This bundle really is the easiest way to customise a brand new Italian Army – it will only be available whilst pre-orders are ongoing.

Also included is the new campaign book, Italy: Soft Underbelly. Packed with new scenarios, units and rules for Italians, you’ll have plenty of characterful options with which field your new army.
