Rome and Carthage alike would make use of espionage agents of all kinds, and although their shadowy deeds are often lost to history, the fate of captured spies was almost inevitably a thorough interrogation, followed by a particularly unpleasant public execution. This vignette shows just such an interrogation – the Carthaginians have got their hands on a Roman spy, and they’ll get the truth out of him one way or another!

This scene is a great and colourful addition to any Carthaginian collection, particularly if you want to convince your opponent you’ve already rumbled their cunning plans pre-game!
